Type of Work
Residential / Bathroom renovation, A compact bathroom reinterpreted as a minimalist wellness room through continuous surfaces and concealed utility.

Overview
A small, dated bathroom from the early 2000s required a complete re-think: the goal was to remove visual clutter, improve functionality, and create a warm, cohesive atmosphere with seamless surfaces and considered storage..

Our Beginning
The existing finishes fragmented the space and limited perceived volume. The design aimed to erase awkward joints and appliances from view while raising durability and tactile quality.

Key interventions
• Laundry integration: a custom enclosed cabinet hides washer and dryer without interrupting the formal clarity of the room.
 • Continuous microcement surfaces: walls and details finished in Contrà microcement removed grout lines and visually enlarged the space.
 • Flooring: Ecomar system on the floor for resilience and a natural hand.
 • Spatial clarity: careful junction details and a single material language produce a warm, enveloping atmosphere.

Role of the team
Design intent and joinery detailing were developed by Atelier Ottimo; Berliner Bautechnik managed the technical installation, plumbing rework and the hand-finished microcement applications to ensure water-tight and long-lasting junctions.

Transformation
What had been a service bathroom became a dedicated wellness room. The absence of visible joints and appliances, together with the warm material temperature, gives the space a measured calm and lasting material value.
