Type of Work
Residential / Custom refurbishment A study in material reinvention: an existing Veneta Cucine is transformed in situ into a singular, handcrafted composition through on-site microcement finishing and bespoke elements.

Overview
Rather than replacing the kitchen, the brief asked us to elevate what was already sound — to convert reliable industrial carpentry into a unique, tactile centerpiece. The project demonstrates how finish and detail can redefine perception without full demolition.

Our Beginning
The original kitchen provided a structurally solid base but a generic, factory- finished presence. The challenge was to achieve a seamless, high-end result while working directly on the installed units and keeping disruption minimal.

Key interventions
• Surface preparation: complete sanding of carcasses and doors to create a consistent substrate.
• Microcement overlay: hand-applied Material G (Veneta supply chain) produced a continuous, matte texture that is both durable and refined.
• Integrated worktop and monobloc elements: the work surface was executed in the same microcement system, producing a visual monolith.
• Bespoke snack table: a tailor-made table in a muted aqua hue introduces a calibrated colour accent and human scale.

Role of the team
Our design direction defined the chromatic and material palette; the on-site finishing and fine tolerances were executed by Berliner Bautechnik craftsmen. Close coordination allowed finishing work to be performed in situ, millimetre by millimetre.

Transformation
The kitchen shifted from industrial commodity to customised object: continuous surface, restrained colour note, and an integrated worktop that reads as a single, crafted element. The room now reads as a calm, intentionally made interior rather than an assembly of catalog parts.
